Frocked de la Valliere too grown up for Debenhams

In London, at the Showroom in Kingston, Frocked de la Vallière's newest collection was ready & waiting. Having been shipped prior to the original meeting, the new Prince of Wales & raspberry satin shimmer officewear range, & posh flutter frocks sat amongst some other designer labels waiting for the re-schduled meeting with the buyers.....sadly Frocked was deemed too 'grown-up'!


Debenhams Buying Director & Head of Womenswear were seeking something more youthful although, like all the other buyers did like the Prince of Wales range - but ASOS.com saw it 1st & are viewing again in June!

New photo shoot

Well we finally get to have the new range photographed - the updated & new posh frocks & corsets & the all new workwear/office range! (We have already had ASOS.com wanting to see it for their AW 09 range, & was delighted to hear today that Hobbs were liking it too!!)

In collaboration with Tina the Photographer, Leah S/Make-up (London College of Fashion), & Heather for Hair we are shooting around Machynlleth in Powys Wales on Thursday. Weather permitting we have some options of outdoor locations - really interesting & not your run of the mill! & our indoor shots will not be in your plain studio ;)) How exciting for us all.

Models are nearly all confirmed, 2 of our originals are travelling from North & West to be there, & hopefully we can all catch up over pizza & wine the night before - we are using real women who eat & are fabulous!

....as we look forward to 2009, & the success & growth of Frocked de la Vallière, the new version of the Vallière corset 'the V3' & new/updated posh frocks & pinstripe tailoring have been delivered & are awaiting to be unfurled & photographed...oooh exciting!

Frocked.co.uk is being updated as we speak, hence some minor hiccups, however these will be fixed & then the brand new & updated designs can be shown & as we now hold stock, you can purchase & have delivered in a few days.

The SS '09 collection will not be available on the website until Spring but for interested boutique owners/buyers we can bring samples to you, & as we make in the UK we offer 'in-season' & short turnaround; please contact us & speak to Tracey.

Going going gone...Posh Frocks & Corsets

The Frocked Team are still clearing out designs from the Frocked Studio, & we are finding past samples & seconds from when we first started in 2004!! Now working on the new designs we are soooo excited, & are loving our new posh frocks & corsets .....but also sad to say goodbye to past designs.

We have now got the last sample Cappuccino Full-length Posh Frock in the sample sale & on eBay with a dramatic 80% off rrp - but this dress is a sample factory second & has been on catwalks & photo-shoots. (This is what Daisy Lowe modelled on the London catwalk for Frocked de la Vallière & now she is modelling Vivienne Westwood!) On the day of our shoot I remember seeing one of our models, Bex, in the dress for the first time & oh she looked so beautiful in it, it could have been made for her; she looked stunning, if not a little cold…even with the remainder of the previous-nights Halloween body make-up!!

Even though we were a little unsure whether to put our last mid-length Flutter-by-Day posh frock on eBay, we did. With the dress being an X-display dress that has been on photo-shoots, we realised it was simply too sad to have this dress locked away in our studio; she needs a new loving owner.

We also have only one red handcrushed velvet Vallière Corset Top left, & have put this in the sample sale & on eBay with a 50% discount…it is the last one after all! As you can see from our model, the red velvet is sexily striking in a very opulent kind of way…she was perfect for this corset! &, on that particular first shoot, she stepped in to model at the very last minute (after some strong-but-sweet persuasion); she had only come along for a day out with the photographer & friend. With the changing rooms being the middle of the sand dunes...she fitted right in!!

All these designs are being updated & we hope to start adding them on the Frocked.co.uk site in March/April……we only wish we could show them to you sooner!!!!
